Many a time we 'assume' things on our own and that ends up becoming the grounded reality for the person's belief, without a proper investigation or a deep look into the matter. We naturally follow the sequence of probability, that is, if he/she remotely has done this in the past, then there are chances of them repeating the same or worser, following it up with vague material. I agree mathematics is the basis for logic, but not everything in this world can be deduced... If it were, then we would be just end being programmed individuals. I stress more on the word - Individual, a person in himself, a personality, a distinct identity.
Then, there are people who think they know EVERYTHING about you, ( again, ASSUMING! ) and they have their kaleidoscope vision of the matter. When you try to work out things in any form of the matter, the other person has to interfere in his personal position and make it a disastrous situation. Then, the question would come to your mind. Do I stop believing what I see or what people say? My answer would be NO. But don't you think it more depends on your individual relationship with him/her? Or as far as you have known him?
As I have said earlier, perception is a matter of natural variance. I bring this up because I was surprised, rather shocked at what assumptions some people just made about me in a particular situation. Ironically, a friend just mentioned I should be more open and stop hiding my pain behind my smile. The immediate question following up in my head was the element of trust in the dice and you are left still contemplating? Can I/Can I not?
My conclusion - human beings never fail to surprise me. What matters is I am true and right in my position..I don't think I have any part to play in this 'conspiracy'. Parents imbibe some qualities in a child which later molds him into what he is. Luckily, one of the most important lessons they taught me was the importance of truth and clarity. As long as that exists, I am safe.

I guess we are all meant for that....for giving surprises to each other. Rather we do sometime surprise ourselves, don't we? I believe each one of ours actions are based on our assumptions, or otherwise how can we suppose to proceed? How can we be sure of a certain thing until and unless it is carried forward with an assumption? Of course one's determination and attitude play a very strong role, but then there has to be a ground.
ReplyDeleteEven i have been surprised by some people around me for what they assume of me, but then even i have assumed things about them based upon their previous conduct and been surprised. Of course its barring people we know and understand very well. What i feel is that its all a learning experience. One can learn so much about small things that can matter so much to someone and on the same time, can sometimes give a whole new perspective to a matter....What is more important is to be receptive i guess and open our mind to things different than we are conditioned for.
Wonderful observation! I really liked your comment. :)
